American Refugee Committee

"In Ukraine, we are supporting evacuation efforts for women and children, providing psychological care and delivering groceries, blankets, warm clothes, stoves, cash and other essentials to displaced families. The IRC is also on the ground in Poland working with three local organizations to meet the needs of families displaced from Ukraine, many of whom are staying in shelters across the country. Working with partners allows us to bolster the crisis response of people who have already been active in the community and are experts on the local context" - https://www.rescue.org/article/how-does-irc-respond-emergency-ukraine

Americares

"Since February 24, Americares has delivered more than 190 tons of medicine and medical supplies valued at over $35 million to health facilities and responders in Ukraine. These shipments include antibiotics, IV fluids, wound care supplies, labor and delivery supplies and trauma kits. In addition, Americares has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to more than 50 organizations supporting health in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine. For volunteer medical teams that took 19 trips to offer medical services in Poland, Romania and Ukraine, Americares provided more than $3 million in medicine and medical supplies. One of the medical teams reports that the medications provided by Americares for their team were used to fill in the gap in the Ukrainian medical supply chain system. Due to the war, all pharmacies in the affected regions in the east and north east of Ukraine were closed or did not have supplies. Most people with chronic diseases like diabetes or thyroid disorders were without their medications for almost two months. The team provided clinics, bomb shelters and community shelters with medications that were distributed to patients who needed them. These medications were life-saving for many Ukrainians" - https://americares.org/emergency-program/conflict-in-ukraine

Global Communities

"Since the onset of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, an estimated 5.6 million refugees have fled to neighboring countries, while more than 7.1 million people have been displaced inside Ukraine in search of safety, protection and assistance meeting basic needs. As the scale of this humanitarian crisis continues to grow, Global Communities is working directly with local governments and civil society organizations to support meeting non-food item and hygiene needs in 8 communities across 3 oblasts in western Ukraine. To date, we have procured and arranged for delivery of more than $1 million worth of humanitarian goods, including such items as beds, blankets, kitchen goods and lamps as well as distributed critical personal hygiene supplies like baby diapers, soap, sanitary pads and toilet paper for internally displaced people.Whenever possible, we prioritized procuring goods from Ukrainian producers and vendors, which continue to operate in Ukraine either directly or remotely from a neighboring country. In addition to direct procurements, Global Communities has leveraged its relationships with 100 local governments across Ukraine to connect them to each other, local NGOs and other international organizations. This has led to western Ukrainian communities connecting with and sending supplies to eastern communities in need, and the provision of direct food assistance or cash from local and international NGOs.Global Communities continues to monitor the needs of communities on an ongoing basis, facilitating these connections and planning for future assistance" - https://globalcommunities.org/country/ukraine/

International Medical Corps, which has decades of experience in the country, is currently on the ground in Ukraine, Poland, Romania and Moldova. International Rescue Committee

"For almost 90 years, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) has been responding to the world’s worst humanitarian crises. When a new crisis strikes, the IRC’s emergency team swiftly activates to determine the most effective way to reach people in need. Our response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has killed thousands of civilians and displaced millions of people so far, is no different. Our team quickly deployed to neighboring Poland, where we are working with partners to assist arriving refugees. We are also working with partners inside Ukraine, supporting the evacuation of women and children and providing emergency aid to people who had to flee their homes. Even before the attacks on Ukraine, the world had been facing unprecedented humanitarian needs. A record 82 million people around the world have been uprooted by crises. Some 41 million people in 43 countries are on the brink of famine. Wars around the world are lasting longer and becoming more complex, with civilians paying the price" -

Map International

"A humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Ukraine as an escalated armed conflict put millions of lives at risk. The number of injured survivors is mounting as fighting continues. MAP is responding by sending essential medicine, health supplies, and Disaster Health Kits to displaced families and children who have lost everything" - https://www.map.org/ukraine

Samaritans Purse

"Through 26 airlifts—24 of which were carried out through our DC-8 cargo jet—Samaritan’s Purse has transported hundreds of tons of relief items, including our Emergency Field Hospital, medical supplies, food, and hygiene kits. We continue to bring in new shipments of supplies nearly every week and are working in close partnership with churches in Ukraine to get these items to communities where the need is urgent.Specifically, through our Medical Airlift Program, we have transported more than 200 metric tons of medical supplies to Ukraine to assist in resupplying the local, strained health system.

"UNICEF's humanitarian work in Ukraine focuses on meeting the most critical urgent needs for safety, health care, safe water and nutrition, protection while also safeguarding children's rights and long term well-being.Schools and hospitals and critical infrastructure have all been and continue to be frequently targeted by attacks, disrupting and limiting access to esential services. For many years, and well before conflict started in the eastern region, UNICEF had been providing critical support to help close gaps in Ukraine's health system, particularly in the areas of childhood immunizations and HIV prevention. That support has been significantly expanded as UNICEF rushes essential medicines, midwifery kits, surgical kits and other lifesaving supplies to health facilities where women have been giving birth in makeshift basement bunkers since the war started.More support is urgently needed to help fund UNICEF's response in and around Ukraine as the situation for children and families continues to deteriorate" - https://www.unicefusa.org/mission/emergencies/child-refugees-and-migrants/war-ukraine
